Miniaturized RTG Prototype Development

  • Designed and built prototype of a modular, miniaturized, radioisotope thermoelectric generator for nanosat applications, by leveraging on-site and commercial production solutions to rapidly iterate, configure, and test multiple design variants

  • Coordinated performance testing in vacuum, shock, and vibration environments; tracking and distributing detailed summary documents, test-timelines, build instructions, and hardware acquisition updates

  • Collaborated with team members to conduct thermal radiation reduction studies resulting in the generation of several mechanically driven, thermally optimized, low emissivity solutions

  •  Modified shock and vibration testing fixture design utilizing ANSYS FEA software to optimize geometry around modal and force response spectrum analysis results

  • Utilized SEM and X-Ray equipment to study chemically delidded electronic components, evaluating component susceptibility to heavy ion Single Event Effects
