Roomba J7+ Developmental Contributions

  • Led the design, prototyping, and development of next generation Roomba sub-assembly aimed at increasing functionality

  • Developed in-house rapid manufacturing system; created detailed instructional documents, managed component acquisition, and collaborated with a cross functional team to meet the J7+ Program’s design goals

  • Generated mechanical solutions to improve electronics mounting methods and thermal mitigation performance

  • Designed and edited components, assemblies and skeleton models using Creo Parametric’s solid and surface modeling tools

  • Iterated, tested, and documented improvements for mechanism and component designs by leveraging rapid prototyping tools such as Nylon Multi-Jet Fusion, Poly Jet, and Fused Deposition 3D printing

  • Diversified engineering skillset through on-site instructional courses: Material Selection, Molding Processes, CAD Assembly Management (Skeleton Modeling), Fundamentals of Electronics and Soldering, and Best Practices for Rapid Prototyping

  • Automated data collection on test fixtures using a self-developed Python script
